Plastic packaging not only lingers within our environment for years to come, but also spreads toxins. Almost all plastics are made from chemicals that come from fossil fuels further damaging the earth’s ecosystem.
It’s been reported that just a tiny fraction of all the 8.3 billion metric tons of plastic that has ever been produced 6.3 metric tons of that plastic has become waste, with only 9% actually recycled.
